Our 2nd Tattoo Fundraiser was wonderful!!
We want to thank especially Midnight Iguana and the wonderful Ron, Kelley, Kevin, Heather and her family. Without them this wouldn't have worked.
We also want to thank Thieves Market, a local Athens band, who came and hung out waiting for the rain to stop.
501st Legion Storm Troopers you guys were awesome. They walked around in the rain like real troopers!!

Here is a copy of the receipt for the HVAC purchase. Hopefully we have enough
for installation without trying to raise more funds.

Our 2012 tattoo fund raiser with Midnight Iguana went better than
we ever expected. We had nearly 100 people! Ron and Kellie tattooed
their hearts out for about 10 1/2 hours! Kevin and Heather worked
hard keeping everything organized.
Midnight Iguana rasied $1,980 to build our aviary.
We truly love Midnight Iguana!

Our 2nd Annual Christmas with the Parrots Open House was wonderful. We saw some old friends, made some new friends and found wonderful homes for 3 of our parrots!
We received a beautiful cage as a donation from a special friend and were thrilled to meet her.
Thank you to everyone for sharing part of your Christmas with us and the parrots.
Novemer 14, 2011 we had 10 Girl Scouts come to visit. They had made toys for the birds and brought them out. What an amazing group of girls. They really enjoyed seeing and playing with the birds. Several wanted to adopt birds. They are going to put together a phone book drive so the birds can have more phone books to shred up. We had a question and answer seesion and they sure asked some great questions. We really enjoyed having them here and the toys were awesome. I know the birds are going to love them.
November 5, 2011 we participated in the Chili Cook-off for Charity at the Terrapin Beer Co. It has held by the Athens Area Humane Society and PAWS.
September 10, 2011 is Feathered Frenzy day at the Macon Museum of Arts & Sciences and we have been invited back. Dee's Haven will be there with our Congo African Grey, Gabby, Harley, our Bare Eyed Cockatoo and a few others.
We'll have fun things for the kids and some great information on parrot care and how you can help us continue to them these deserving parrots.
Christmas with the Parrot Open House 2010
What a wonderful time we had. Old friends and new braved the weather to celebrate Christmas with the parrots. We had food, fun, great company and wonderful friends. The Athens Banner Herald did a wonderful front page story on the rescue and the open house. We want to thank our very generous donors and hope we will get to see you again soon. Thank you for making this a great Christmas for some very deserving birds.
Kaytee truck rolling in with food for the birds.
